Underwater plugging for renewing a valve of the MV « BORA »

Following MARLOW NAVIGATION order in October 2017, OSS carried out the installation of an underwater plug to allow the replacement of a 20 inch valve inside the MV « BORA ».

This operation lasted 72 hours and required a careful measurement in order to make and install a plug specially adapted for this valve.

Challenges

  • Finishing the plugging job during the cargo operation.
  • make a specific pug for a 20 inch valve.

Result

The valve has been safely replaced by the MV « BORA » crew.
